Join us in our ground blind to watch Sharptailed grouse dancing in the spring!
The number of grouse dancing on the lek located in one of our paddocks has doubled over the last few years, and it's quite a site to see up close!
We offer a couple different options for viewing these birds in person.
- A guided tour in which John will join you in the blind where he will give you a history of the lek and insights to the land management on our farm. A small breakfast and farm tour to round out the morning will be included as well.
- Price: $100/person, $250 for groups up to 4
- A self guided experience in which you will be provided a ride to the blind and picked up after an agreed upon amount of time.
- Price: $50/person, $150 for groups up to 4
Prime viewing time for the grouse is early morning, so tours will begin an hour before sunrise, or in the evenings, an hour before sunset. The grouse begin dancing in mid March and will continue through April, and into early May.
